From an environmental perspective, OPP bags possess certain environmental characteristics. The material itself is non-toxic, harmless, and recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly plastic packaging material. Compared to other plastic packaging, OPP bags use less material because their high strength allows for thinner bags to achieve the same protective effect, thus reducing raw material usage. During production, OPP bags have relatively low energy consumption and fewer carbon emissions. Used OPP bags can be recycled through professional plastic recycling channels. After washing, crushing, and granulation, they can be recycled into other plastic products. However, the recycling rate of flexible plastic packaging in current recycling systems still needs improvement. Users should dispose of OPP bags properly in recyclable collection containers after use. Some regions are still exploring OPP bag degradation technologies, but large-scale commercial application is still some time away. From a life-cycle perspective, proper use and recycling are key to maximizing the environmental advantages of OPP bags.
